And introducing a new section: Storey Time!
Hi friends 👋,
Happy Wednesday!
Here at StoreyLine, we are always looking to experiment with different formats and get feedback on how to make it more useful for you.
One of the feedback we got was to highlight community members. So, we’ll be adding a new section called Storey Time 🤓.
How can we make this newsletter better? I’d love to hear from you. Reply directly or email me at minette@storey-line.com!

In today’s edition:
👟 The story of Jessica Singer and her company, Le Mondeur, that makes ethnically handcrafted shoes in Portugal, using artisan textiles from around the world.
🤓 Storey Time, starting with our community lead, Sarah Walton.
🎙️ A conversation with Amelia from the Sustainability Of podcast.
Spotlight - Jess & LeMondeur
Our main story today is about Jessica and her company, Le Mondeur, which makes ethnically handcrafted shoes in Portugal, using artisan textiles from around the world.
What I love about Le Mondeur is that it uses shoes as a canvas to tell the story behind each unique textile and fabric, and that it uses material that you don’t typically see on apparel in general (cork, anyone?). Their products are bright, fun, and energizing.

Looking forward
We are doing something different this week. So far, we've talked to founders who focus on making products that are good for our planet; tomorrow we'll be going live with @amelia.easley from the @sustainabilityof podcast!
We'll be diving into what "sustainability" really means, and how, as conscious consumers, tell genuine companies and products apart from the greenwashing ones? There's a ton of noise in this space, so it gets confusing and frustrating. Let's change that!

What was your last shopping experience like in this new norm?
I passed Francesa’s on a leisurely Sunday a few weeks ago, and I bought a shirt from their website that has sassy lips and the phrase “Girl Talk” on it. The phrase “girl talk” got me thinking back to my days at Smith College where I’d sit with my friends in one of our dorm rooms and talk for hours. It jogged memories of bonding with close friends on annual trips, and the women I’m fortunate to have in my life for quick pep talks.
What’s something good that happened to you recently?
I landed a role I’m really excited about as an Account Executive, and I set up my new home across the country from Boston to Portland!
🤔 Who should we spotlight next, either founders or community members? I’d love to hear from you. Reply directly or email me at minette@storey-line.com!
